Correction to your correction oh smart one. daylight savings time was actually started during world war one as a concept to increase productivity from the farmers in the fields. The concept was that by moveing the time forward it would now be light outside until 9:30 p.m. instead of 8:30 p.m. this "saveing" this daylight. in theory farmers would start work at the same time as usual but would now be able to work later. Thus it was called daylight savings time and because it is now fall and the growing season is over daylight savings is ended and the time has gone back one hour. Hah
