Bad Things Happen When You Mock God

I just got this email from my grandparents and it contains a list of who has mocked God and the consequences that have followed.

John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

"Christianity will end, it will disappear.

I do not have to argue about that. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him" (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza
(Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),
While smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:"God, that's for you."

He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.

The man who built the Titanic

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.
With an ironic tone he said:
"Not even God can sink it"

The result:
I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe
(Actress)

She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
"I don't need your Jesus".

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott
(Singer)

The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
"Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell".

On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas
(IN 2005)

In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:

"My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You."

She responded: "Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It's Already Full "

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,

The car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)
Said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

This is a long post and I hope you take the time to read it, thank you.

I apologize. I don't know you well. I hardly know you at all, perhaps I shouldn't be posting on this blog, but this post absolutely sickens me.

Enjoy? Enjoy these great people who were murdered by the cold-hearted? What happened to not killing? Apparantly it is okay when some don't agree on whose god is bigger.

I know. You forgot one. Hitler! Hitler killed himself after abandoning God through the assassination of the jews, right? It apparantly took God FOREVER to catch up to killing Hitler! I mean, think of the millions of Jews he killed while God took his merry time setting up his plan to kill off Hitler.

MEANWHILE, A group of NORMAL friends are drinking and driving, you know like 19% of teenagers do. And God KILLS them. What is up with this logic? I mean, he even had a chance to save something in that car, and he saves a carton of eggs. WOW. GOOD JOB. You sure are all powerful!

Also, John Lennon was not evil. By no means was he evil. He wanted the world to unite in peace. This means no war, no countries, or anything of the sort. This also means... NO RELIGIOUS WAR. Thus, for a "perfect world", as he saw it, religion would have to be gone. He did not force this on anyone, in fact, he was a peaceful man who preached more love than almost anyone else. John Lennon was also not shot because of the saying, he actually apologized later for it. He even wrote that he THANKS Jesus for the end of his touring days, and prays to him. He was not an atheist, though he saw that no religion was the way to peace. But, of course, God does not accept his apology. God wants to shoot him! So he does. God shoots one who moved the hearts of millions and made incredible music, all the while thanking God. Way to go, Yahweh.

The titanic story is quite easy to see through. I'll use a simple story. You are a happy person. You can create people with your hands! The people you create are happy, everyone is happy. Then, one day, one of your followers decides to build a boat so that OTHER people can ride on it. You let him. He does good. Everyone is happy. He is so proud of his work that he says that not even HIS creator can destroy it. Surely, since you created it, you can forgive him, right? Yes. You forgive him. But you are still angry. You are an angry and jealous creator. So, you wait until his boat sets sail, with thousands of other people on bored. Everyone is happy. Then, pick up the ship, and thrust it into an iceberg. The ship crumbles, and thousands of innocent people die. Woman, children, and men. And why? All because the creator of the boat was proud of his achievement. Are you a good person?

So, you say something that was probably a sarcastic remark and you get killed? The president clearly deserved the votes, the people trusted in him, and once again God kills him off. WOW. God sure does pick and choose.

I believe this is all I need to post to get my point across. Your post has left a bad taste in my mouth. I can't believe I used to love the "God" you worship. After reading this, I would not worship this God, even if he were real. This is not God. It is a demon. A demon slaughters people, a God is meant to love those. Truly sir, you have turned me against your God forever. I hope you can see the truth some day.

Just imagine.

P.s. You can reply in your comment box if you'd like. I'm afraid to reveal myself, because God might kill me for questioning him.

Jesus died an untimely death at 33.

I guess that blows this theory out of the water about only the bad dying young.

Bon Scott was just an average guy. No better or worse than anyone else, you included.

Btw, the song Highway To Hell is about hard life on the road for a rock band trying to make it to the top.

It's not meant to be taken literally and anyone who does so is completely ignorant.

I don't understand why people are so cynical. Honestly people, I didn't type this... it was just a forwarded email to me and I wanted to share it with my friends. And here is my point and case:

"Fear the Lord your God, serve Him only and take your oaths in His name. Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against your, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. DO NOT TEST THE LORD YOUR GOD as you did at Massah. Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND GOOD IN THE LORD'S SIGHT, SO THAT IT MAY GO WELL WITH YOU AND YOU MAY GO IN AND TAKE OVER THE GOOD LAND THAT THE LORD PROMISED on oath to your forefathers, thrusting out all enemies before you, as the Lord said."
~Deuteronomy 6:13-19

I see your point, in the above response. I don't like chain emails, and honestly I don't agree with this. I don't think God would smite you for saying something about Him, thats like saying that anyone who makes a mistake deserves to die. Why would God be jealous, I just want someone to answer because I actually wonder about this. If there is only one true God, what reason is there for God to be jealous of nothing? Well I gotta go pick up a pizza, if you anyone could answer my question, please do so.

The reason why the Bible refers to God as being "jealous" and especially this passage using that adjective is because it is stressing the point that God wants our undivided love and worship. There is another scripture that says, "You cannot serve two masters, either you will hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot love both God and (in this case) money." Now anything that steals your focus away from God is a hindrance and a bondage. If you are in debt for example, you are in bondage to money. Now the reason why it says God is jealous is because he wants us to love Him more than worldly possessions.
I'm going to ask a general question that should be simple to answer and I'm not trying to start any "war" here: Do you honestly love God more than your most prized possession (computer, guitar, money, etc.)? If you are putting other things in the way of pursuing a heartfelt and strong relationship with God than God is jealous of those priorities that you've placed in the way. God wants your affection more than anything - that's why we've been created.

I agree Sandman that "making a mistake doesn't make you one who deserves to die" but the email is stressing the point to watch what you say and do not test God. This is a true story that happened two years ago: A guy was walking out of Cedar Point and literally shouted out loud "C'mon God, hit me with a big one." Instantly, a freak lightning bolt shot out of the sky and killed him instantly. This was on the front page of the Sandusky Register the next morning.
The point of the post is that we need to watch what we say even if we are not serious because crude joking is not a Christian lifestyle.

I see your points, I just have a hard time believing that most of this is just random circumstance. To answer the question, I don't think I love anything at the moment, and I am trying to keep God out of my line of questioning. Blame the root of all evil as you put it so elegantly a few posts below (btw, that is so true and hilarious at the same time). Thanks for the response.

WOW. It makes me more aware and more careful about what I say.

Mar 22, 2008, 6:36:00 PM

I see why you posted this, and you have the right to believe it. I don't believe in God, but wish there were one, I would love to have someone to watch over me and guide me, and have eternal life. Thus, I fantasize about a god would be like.

I'll save you most of the details. But, I don't believe a god would require worship. And I don't believe he would intervene and harm a person.

If this is true, it seems to me that life is meaningless. If God kills us for the freedoms he gave us, then that it is not free will. It is the same as holding a gun to someone and asking for money. They have the "free will" to say no, but any sensible person would hand them the money. That is not free will.

Free will and God's will cannot mix no matter how hard you try. This is why some of these things make me angry. You can't choose not to worship him, on threat of torture. You can't choose to deny him, on threat of immediate torture. You can't choose to dismiss it, on threat of immediate torture.

You can do anything, but if you choose any option but to worship Yahweh, you get burned and tortured for eternity.

This to me, is not a loving God. It is a demon. I would never worship a demon. This is why I disagree.

I think I will agree with Ranting. I am sure God wont go punishing people for saying something against him. But am sure he will punish people if we call ourselves belivers and then say something against him.
Also this is the same God who cared for us and died for our sins. So for sure he will not interfere with our freewill. Its still our choice to love and serve him. But eternity is another ball game. He would determine how we spend eternity based on how much respect we gave him here. So it does matter , what we say to God and what he thinks about us. But if we dont care about him, he too wont be caring much about our life here and our eternal life.
So hey, go on, mock God, play games with your own eternity. Or better still, revere and respect him and learn to love him more and ensure a safe smooth transfer to a better and greater eternal life.

Hi Sir/Ma'am
I'm fearful about this articles and there can be direct judgement when we talk evil about what is good(GOD). The LORD is a good GOG and we must fear our maker. He is there for our protection. This is little wisdom from my little mind, It is better to keep quite, what ever happen to you just thank GOD.
I fear the LORD and He told us that we ought to fear Him, our maker. He told to serve him with trembling and fear. Praise the LORD.AMEN.
